9/11 and What It Meant

First and foremost, no discussion about 9/11 can take place without a full rendering of the facts. I have read the bi-partisan 9/11 report. It is a very thorough account of the incident, what led up to it, what circumstances surrounded it, what presidents were involved, and exactly who was involved with Al-Queda.

9/11 was the culmination of years of planning that stretches back to the Clinton years.
Clinton was NOT passive in his attempts to stop/hinder Al-Queda. Clinton even pushed hard for a covert strike into Afghanistan to assassinate Bin Laden. The US special forces were eager and ready. But our generals balked at sending in a team. Claims that Clinton helped cause 9/11 are WRONG.
The ultimate time period of incubation for the current arab hatred of America was birthed during the CARTER years. His weak effort at supporting Shah Pahlavi in Iran and the failed diplomatic efforts at releasing the hostages showed the arabs exactly how Americans would weakly surrender in any circumstance.
Bin Laden and Khalid Sheik Mohammed had planned to make multiple strikes on 9/11. The targets were the twin towers, the pentagon, and the two targets that Bin Laden wanted most but didn't get: the White House and the Capitol Building. Thanks to the courageous efforts of the passengers of flight 93, the 6 minute pasenger revolt forced the plane to crash in Pennsylvania. The fight was recorded on the black box. Let no liberal idiot tell you that the American passengers did nothing to force the plane down. American men and women both fought the hijackers. Flight 93 was headed for the White House.
Yes, there WERE contacts between Al-Queda and Iraqi agents prior to 9/11, despite the constant media claims there weren't, and not just one contact, but MANY. Iraq repeatedly offered Bin Laden safe haven in the late 90s. However, Iraq was not involved in the planning, support, or execution of 9/11.

We are at war. The US media will not show clips of the planes hitting the towers. It was decided early on that such images might stoke US anti-arab sentiment. The media has wanted to bury 9/11 since before the smoke was done rising. We refer to it now without remembering the tragedy, the sacrifices, the bravery and the loss.
