Our carpenter's house. He uses bits and pieces that he finds and puts them into his work. Good to see the few residents of Butte recycle! |

Every time we drive by, that black cat is sitting outside on the windowsill. Even when it's snowing. We think it died and froze there. The apartment is in pretty good shape and sits proudly on Main Street. |

As you can see, Butte has plenty of traffic like every other city. There has to be at least a dozen cars parked on this street. Reminiscent of rush hour in California... |

One of Butte's proudest buildings. You can see several colors of paint under the peelings... |

Another shot of the pit. It's a quarter mile deep, and the mine shafts dug by hand extend down under Butte and the pit you see to the depth of a mile. |

We decided to go to breakfast at Butte's only restaurant. We waited and waited, so Heather decided to go back and help the cook. We didn't find anyone. |

Butte Hotel. Still has original furniture. Lotsa nostalgia, here. |
